ARUNDEL HIGH SCHOOL PTSO
UPDATE - Site Under Construction!
Arundel High School's PTSO is an organization that unfortunately has not been as active due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Within the past several years and with your support, the PTSO has been able to provide after school Driver's Education classes located Arundel High School, college scholarships, teacher appreciation days, community service projects, school improvements and community engagement events for parents.
We are preparing and updating this page to reflect 2021 and will keep you posted on progress. Please keep in mind that everything below, is from 2019.
We are opening up membership at this time to prepare for several events but also to assist our Arundel students who may be applying for the Anne Arundel County Council of PTAs annual scholarships and need to have a membership at their school to apply.

Three Seniors Receive PTSO Scholarships in May
The Arundel High School Parent Teacher Student Organization, the PTSO, is pleased to announce an additional scholarship for 2019! Thanks to an increase in memberships, as well as the success of our driver’s education program, we have added an additional $1,000 scholarship to the two $500 scholarships we provided last year.
Our essay question asked, “Empathy is one of the skills most needed for success in the 21st Century. Describe an experience where you were unsuccessful in considering the perspectives of your fellow students and what lessons did you learn?”
Caitlyn Freeman is the recipient of the first $500 Arundel High School PTSO Scholarship. She loves non-fiction, is the news editor for The Pulse and will be attending Rutger’s University in Newark where she’ll be studying Journalism.
Danielle Randall is the recipient of our second $500 scholarship and has been a State Solo and Ensemble award winner since 9th grade, is in the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra and her favorite class is calculus! She’s studying architecture at Anne Arundel Community College in the fall.
Our new $1,000 PTSO scholarship is being awarded to an individual whose essay was incredibly powerful, and it epitomized the question asked. It wasn’t until we reached the many letters of recommendation attached, however, that we learned of HIS story and how significantly humble his essay was.
This young man is known as someone who values PEOPLE; gives his TIME; overcomes ADVERSITY; and INSPIRES his peers. His favorite class is AP Biology, he’s worked at Panera Bread since 9th grade, has volunteered more than 400 hours and personal raised over $16,000 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He’ll be studying Biology this fall at The University of Maryland College Park. The Arundel High School PTSO is happy to award the Class of 2019 $1,000 Scholarship to Kevin Maciel.
Driver's Ed Classes Scheduled for 2019-2020 School Year
Course schedules are set for the 2019-2020 school year for our driver's education partnership with Greg's Driving School. Our onsite driver's education classes have been a huge success and Greg's will have a driver dedicated to all classes at Arundel beginning this fall!
This is a PTSO fundraiser and $50 from each student's tuition is donated back to the PTSO!! We started this at the mid-way point of last year and were able to add an additional $1,000 scholarship to a worthy senior because of this fundraiser. Our hope for this school year is also to make updates to the main Arundel High School website, which is in desperate need of an overhaul!
Classes take place monthly AT ARUNDEL HIGH SCHOOL immediately after school is out and run from 2:30 to 6:15 p.m.
To enroll, go to Greg's Driving School website at http://www.gregsdrivingschool.net
